Prescription Drug Card Info

|
One of the many benefits of being a NILA member is that you are issued a free NILA Prescription Discount Card. For starters everyone is eligible for this program. There are no age restrictions but each family member must have their own card. You can print additional NILA RX cards directly from the website. You can receive savings up to 75% at more than 54,000 National and Regional pharmacies. Just to list a few of the participating pharmacies they do include Walgreen’s, CVS, Eckerd, Rite Aid, Kmart, Winn Dixie, Albertsons, Publix, Rite Aid, Fred’s, Stop & Shop, and Bi-Lo. If the pharmacy is not familiar with the NILA RX card they can call the toll free number on the back of the card, at that time they will be assisted by the Pharmacy Help Line in processing your prescriptions.
For those that are completely uninsured you can use this card exclusively to save money on the out-of-pocket expense for your medications. If you have insurance this card is not meant to be used in place of your current coverage: you should use the card to save money on medication(s) that your insurance will not already cover. Most major insurances will provide you with a list of medications that they will pay for. In the event that you are prescribed something that is not on that list, you can use your NILA card at the pharmacy in place of your insurance card. The NILA RX card is designed as a stand alone benefit program but it may also be used as a supplement for insured prescription plans to cover non-formulary prescriptions. It can also be used as a Medicare Part D supplement covering drugs once participants reach the “donut hole.” This free NILA card is pre-activated and can used immediately at any participating Pharmacy.
